The peace task force works on educating people on the local level about issues of war and peace, including the impact on local budgets and the need for a coherent foreign policy, and coordinates with other groups on the abolition of nuclear weapons.
In 2022 the FCCPR peace task force reorganized as a Traprock program as Franklin County for Peace. Peace activists respond to many issues and events of our time, and attend weekly vigils at the Greenfield Town Common, many specifically focused on particular themes, such as Tax Day, the Hiroshima-Nagasaki anniversary, and others. All are welcome to join and meet there: Saturdays, 11- noon.
