    Tahirah Amatul-Wadud is an attorney in Western Massachusetts with a focus on domestic relations and civil rights law.  She is a graduate of Elms College and Western New England University School of Law.

    As a volunteer commissioner for the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, Tahirah advocates before the state legislature to enact laws responsive to the needs of women and girls.

    As the progressive candidate for the First District of Massachusetts and a longtime small business owner, Tahirah supports robust job growth and development throughout Western Mass. She promotes a plan to combat climate change, advance a strong universal public education policy, and create opportunities for reliable, affordable high speed Internet access for every resident. Tahirah is an avid supporter of single-payer health care. She serve as a legal counsel for religious congregations of many faiths in Massachusetts to protect the religious freedom rights of all citizens.

    Prior to hearing Bernie Sanders, Bill McKibben and others at 8 p.m. during the 350.org live-streaming event, meet others interested in ending fossil fuel use and promoting 100% renewables! Several people will kick off the discussion about what you can do with information about what is happening in FC and in MA.
