The overturning of Roe v. Wade has brought a surge of requests for travel, food, lodging and childcare support as more people than ever are being forced to travel long distances to access abortion care.
The Brigid Alliance (based in New York City) pays for travel, food, lodging, childcare and other logistical support related to abortion, helping pregnant people who must travel from abortion ban states for services.
Their motto is “We get people to abortion care, whatever it takes.”
The Brigid Alliance needs our support to meet the growing demand for services. To show our solidarity with their mission FCCPR is sponsoring a month-long fundraising campaign to support the Brigid Alliance in their crucial abortion support services work.

Background on this campaign:
On July 20, 2022 FCCPR adopted a statement (www.fccpr.us) that critiques the Dobbs Supreme Court decision to overturn the constitutional right to abortion in the US. We established a new Reproductive Justice task force to promote political action to challenge this reversal and to further promote reproductive justice.
