Our voices are crucial now more than ever – President Trump’s move on Venezuela violates our Constitution, US law and International law, and blows up many decades of adherence to the United Nations charter regarding national sovereignty.
Saturday January 10, Ashfield – This action will extend over the period from 11 – 1:00.
This will be a sidewalk standout, all in the center of town, with people spread out from the Town Common to beyond the Library, on both sides of the street (not blocking the library, the Town Hall & Fire Station, the Hardware store & CP Pizza, or Elmer’s).
You can loosely self-commit to 15 or 30 minute slots anytime between 11-1:00 (to help you cope with the weather) with people coming at different times, taking places where they’d like to be – it’ll be fluid, and folks can fill in the gaps. Bring your biggest visible signs, and I invite you to bring noise makers (pie plates, kazoos, songs) as needed to help you keep warm. You’ve seen these stand outs in other towns – let’s try it here!
