An event sponsored by the West County Climate Circle saw roughly 40 people gather in Shelburne Falls earlier today to learn about the dire effects of the federal cuts to the many programs upon which our communities depend. A short walk through town started at the Arms Library, continued to Trailside Health, along the Deerfield River, and then to an EV Charging station, and concluded at the Shelburne Senior Center. At each stop, participants heard how federal cuts would affect these valuable community resources. And at each stop, people restated their commitment to building the future that we all deserve:

We are called to work for a world dedicated to compassion, not cruelty; love, not fear; courage, not despair. May we all, with the help of one aonother, answer that call.
