Elizabeth de Neeve

Elizabeth de Neeve is a parent and small business owner in Greenfield. She was elected to the Greenfield School Committee in 2021 and won the All State School Committee Member of the year award 2024 for her education funding advocacy at the state level. She is the current Secretary of the Greenfield School Committee as well as its Legislative Liaison, Chair of Community Engagement, and Chair of Reorganizing our Schools Subcommittee. She has worked in both policy and budget finance sub committees.

When reelected, Elizabeth will bring renewed energy to city and school relationships, improved and more transparent budget processes, and continued advocacy for state funding.

In her quest to focus on student needs and outcomes she prioritized and created listening sessions with community members, students and state representatives.

When elected to a second term she will become the longest serving member on the committee and in this time when our very department of education is being defunded and denied, she will use her experience to continue moving student outcomes ever upward.

Jeff Diteman

I decided to run for School Committee because I passionately believe in the power of public school education to bring out the best in young people. Great schools with motivated teachers and competent administration can be the backbone of a community and a launching pad for students’ dreams. As a parent raising two kids in the district, I want to feel confident that my little ones are going into learning environments that are safe, inclusive, and positive, where my children’s unique qualities will be respected and their potential maximized.

In particular, I am interested in working with all stakeholders to improve student engagement. As an educator, I have an outstanding record in this area. For nine years I taught undergraduate courses at UMass Amherst, helping hundreds of students discover or rediscover a love of literature. I know what it takes to foster meaningful discussions and a sense of camaraderie in the classroom, which is why I was twice nominated for the Distinguished Teaching Award. Since starting in fall 2024 as the Spanish teacher at Pioneer Valley Regional School, I have revitalized a floundering Spanish program.

Based on these experiences, along with that of raising a neurodivergent child, I will bring a well-informed perspective to the School Committee’s deliberations. I will support continued efforts to boost student literacy through the strategic plan. I will work to forge new connections between our schools and local arts and literary organizations to help students perceive the value of literacy and creativity. I will help the committee find and hire a superintendent who shares our community’s values with regard to education. Finally, I will support continued funding for existing public school programs, and will advocate on behalf of our schools for increased state funding, particularly for performance arts. My daughter has had a wonderful experience so far at Four Corners School, and as a Committee member I will strive to ensure that GPS students all share in the educational excellence that our community deserves.

Adrienne Craig-Williams

Adrienne Craig-Williams is a devoted and committed educator with over a decade of classroom teaching experience, from kindergarten reading to college-level Ancient Greek.  She is currently an upper school math teacher at Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield.  Adrienne is eager to bring her knowledge of the life of schools to the Greenfield School Committee and support the success and flourishing of all our students– including queer and trans students.

A homeowner, Adrienne is an active member of Greenfield life and can often be found on the Common and at events she’s organized with Western Mass Showing Up for Racial Justice.  Before becoming a teacher, Adrienne worked for a time in the financial markets and brings a weatlh of knowledge to bear on questions of budgeting and school funding.
