Membership Renewal
Dear
FCCPR Sisters and Brothers,
It’s
that time: looking back in reflection, looking forward with great
excitement. It’s the end of our first year together, celebrating the
great political successes we accomplished together. We have 7 active
task forces leading the work of the organization; we have a strong
enthusiastic coordinating committee meeting every other week, guiding
the direction of our work. FCCPR is a democratically run group that
works hard to keep folks informed, engaged and connected.
Organizational decisions are made at the General Assemblies.
So
now we are looking to you, as we begin our second year. We’ve
elected new Coordinating Committee members, with five returning
members and 6 new folks who have stepped up to help lead FCCPR over
the next few years. Our projected long range vision, reviewed every
6 months or so, shows very good progress toward shared goals. We
can’t make all this happen without ALL of our members, as well as
continuing to recruit new members. Will you re-commit to another
year with FCCPR?
Please
take a few minutes now to go online – www.fccpr.us – to renew
your fccpr annual membership – only $10 for the year…. or mail
your check to fccpr, PO Box 216, Greenfield, Ma 01302. If you can
give more, larger donations are greatly appreciated.
Help
support our ongoing work and our great office space in Greenfield.
We’re in this together, and together we can make FCCPR a stronger,
more powerful force for change in Franklin County in 2018.

Resources
for Understanding Safe Cities
Compiled
by Dolores Root for FCCPR
I
have compiled a few inks to resources that I have found useful in
learning about Immigration law, local law enforcement and safe
communities. The best way to promote safe community by-laws as well
as to challenge anti-immigrant perceptions and misconceptions is to
be informed about the law and speak to facts and data. Some of the
facts seem counter intuitive because they are so often
misrepresented. Most of the materials are brief and many of the
materials are produced by organizations that specialize in the topics
of interest and thus have additional resources.
