In this 13th episode of “Democracy Here,” Maryelen Calderwood interviews Doug Selwyn about his new book, All Children Are All Our Children. They explore Doug’s fascinating and challenging question, “What would public education look like if it was based on the premise that all children are all our children?”
Doug Selwyn, who is a member of FCCPR’s Education Task Force, has been an educator for more than 30 years, first as a K-12 teacher in public schools, then as a professor of education. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Seattle University, was named Washington State Social Studies Teacher of the Year in 1990-91, and was a founding member of North Country Allies for Public Education.
